Dan & Jack, Look at your instrument paperwork that was sent with the instruments, or in the detailed description for purchasing them, and they will detail what Ohm range they operate in. The sender must be matched with a compatible gauge or your reading will be way off. The sender changes resistance to power to the gauge depending upon the height of the float. If the total range is off, different the new gauge will not read correctly or at all.
