William Clapp called me last night and I asked him about the pitch trim
issue that I mentioned the other day. He explained that his point was that
even though he has a 13 gallon header tank and 18 gallons in his wings, he
rarely (or barely) has to retrim the airplane, even though speed may range
between 120 and 170 mph. He says between takeoff and landing, he usually
only moves the trim tab only about an eighth of an inch. He considers that
a huge improvement over his old KR2.
