What speed were you getting in cruise?
Sorry to say that I did not look at the speed, only the RPM. I did see 120
once, but I was concerned that when I attempted to speed up, the engine
would go up to 3500, with the potential to go a lot higher. My climb was
between 80 and 90. Tomorrow I will try to pin down some more exact numbers.
Increasing the pitch changes all the numbers anyway. I plan to look for a
happy medium that will allow me the highest rate of climb utilizing most of
the power of the engine. I already know that the old engine was capable of
129 Kts. My hope is that I can get 150 Kts for cruise. As I said earlier,
the waste gate is still open.
