This should be qualified.  The RAF48 airfoil is a turbulent airfoil. 
The edge of the tape will basically have no detrimental affect on the 
airflow over the wing.  However, the AS504x series airfoils have 
extensive laminar flow and I would be worried about the tape edge 
tripping the laminar flow.
