This much I am aware of from the 1B posts Mark L. stirred up a few days
before Christmas. Read as much as possible on the 1B in the archives.
The question would be was this analysis for the original spars in the
old airfoil? There is a 20% height difference in the spars using the new
airfoil and if this was increased in strength by using laminations would
it be enough to accomodate the extra span of the motorglider wings? This
is one modification I haven't seen, and one of the things I like about
the KR is you build YOUR airplane based on the original KR design. I was
just curious to know if anyone had considered it and might have some
useful info regarding such a modification. It would be nice to have the
wings removeable but if a solid spar is needed it would be something to
plan for long before ordering spruce.
