While realizing that aircraft unit must be safety wired I'm hard put to = see why. With the old canister type filters definitely but with a spin on? I have yet to see one of them suckers ever come loose in fact when = installed per manufacturers spec I find that come time for an oil change you'd = swear that a guerilla tightened that thing when it was put on. This has to be = one of those cases where the rules haven't caught up to technology. As for = K&N, I have used their oil and air filters for years in racing motorcycles = due to their lack of restriction. Doug Rupert
