Guys, Over the past 3 days I have gotten over an hour and a half of taxi time in. It does work taking it slow and working up to each new speed. A week ago when I first taxied I could not imagine going over 20 mph, as it progressed and I learned when and how much rudder to put in the speeds come up and now the runs are mostly at 50 to 55 mph. The nose wheel gets light right in there. The rudder is very effective then. The last run this morning hit 60 mph and the nose wheel was off the ground for a hundred feet or so. The 60 mph made me feel like the 20 mph did a week ago(scared). But alas that would be the end of the fun for today at least. I had to be at work before 7 am and as I made the turn for the hanger the left brake line broke and I veered off into the grass. I had been making runs both ways on the runway and a sharp left turn at each end with maybe 40 seconds cool off during the run. I think that it got so hot under the wheel pants that the nyflo tube softened enough to allow it to rupture right at the fitting going into the caliper. I have enough tubing there to make the repair but I will be installing a short braided tube to make the connection from the nyflo tube to the caliper. That's all for now
