. I think we should start talking up 2007 at this KR Gathering to try >to outdo the 20 +/- KR's we had there in 1992. It would be a fun event. >Jim Faughn 891JF ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Great idea, Jim. Speaking of the Gathering, it's time for those that want to host the 2006 Gathering to start putting out their pitch for a location. That will give us some time to start checking out the proposed sites. Plan now to lay the ground work and bring your best sales pitch to the Gathering. Before making your pitch, make sure to check with all the locals to insure you have all the support you will need to make it work. I got in three hours of KR time this weekend. Covered the area today flying formation with a C-150 and an AcroSport. I have to throttle back to 1800 rpm to stay with them. I'm probably only burning about 3 gallon per hour at that power setting. I love the new RV pants. I can get an easy 170 mph at 2700 rpm from the 0-200. With a 200 fpm decent to the airport I'm getting 180. I really have to watch my decents with cruise power (2650rpm) or it goes right to 190+ mph. I brought my lower cowl home today to start to finish and repaint from my carb fire. I'd like to get it and the wheel pants done before the Gathering and if time, get at least the left wing repainted where I opened it up for the fuel leak. Too much fun flying to take it down for repair. Have a good week and keep on sanding, sanding, sanding.......... Larry Flesner
