The first KR that I bought and finished, came with a fiberglass tank. I
threw it away and made one out of aluminum. This one has an RR prefab and so
far seems to be working fine. The radio cutout is a waste, because
everything we have will fit without the cutout. The newer radios are much
smaller, so you may not need any cutout.

If I were doing it again, no question, it would be made of aluminum. There
would be a 5 gal or less header and 5 to 8 gal wing tanks. The header would
be welded and I would probably make the wing tanks like Dana made those for
Mark J.

See you in Mt. Vernon - 2005 - KR Gathering

There is a time for building and a time for FLYING and the time for building
has expired.
