Hello Mark and net I did not read that you actually found moisture when you sumped the fuel tank. I would visit the NOAA site and find out the Temp and Dew point for the time that you were flying. Carb ice is a real threat, and will chock the carb enough to lean the engine and make it quit. Especially if you did not find any water in the fuel, and the temp/dew point spread was within three points.
