A block of almost any wood I drilled a 1/2 hole through it , cut out the piece to fit over the spar. Glued a 1/2 rod aluminium drilled to fit the 3/16 or what ever size you need Then after its dry, I cut the centre out of the rod leaving the rod in the wood, Works great
