I had heard someplace, in Spring 2005, that the FAA now only bothers to come
for a final inspection.

At last Sunday's EAA chapter meeting in Mason City, Iowa, I heard that
the FAA intends to get out of the experimental / home built inspection
business. Final Inspections will be preformed by civilian contractors
approved by the FAA at $500 / inspection. What does it cost now? Anyone
else heard of this, as it was all news to me.

sealed til I
get them inspected first... but what other stages?
