It might be time to elaborate on what Steve Eberhart eluded to earlier. 
After either tunnel tests or analysis (I forget which), Ashok decided there 
was something he didn't like about the characteristics of the AS5048 near 
stall...some sort of burble or separation, or something, which is when he 
declared it less than optimal for use from root to tip, but OK if the 
airfoil was trasitioned from 18% at the root to 15% at the tip, which is 
what I've posted at
 http://www.krnet.org/as504x/templates.html .  Definition of "root" here is 
from the beginning of the outer wing (next to the stub wing) to the tip, 
which is usual for KRs...
