If your set on using the van I would cut a door on each side in order to 
work on the wings. If doors fold down hinged at the floor level and used as 
a platform to work and enough area to walk around the ends of the stub wings 
then I think it may be possible with a lot of extra work. Just fold the 
doors up/shut when done working on it for the day.
