Group Arrivals May Affect Ripon-Fisk VFR Arrival Pattern to AirVenture
Group arrivals have been a safe and efficient way for large numbers of
aircraft with similar performance characteristics to arrive at AirVenture in a
short time. These group arrivals temporarily interrupt the Ripon-Fisk VFR
arrival pattern, however, and this year there are four separate groups that
plan to arrive in the afternoon Saturday, July 22.
The Bonanza group (B2Osh) is scheduled to arrive at 1 p.m., Cessna
groups (c2Osh) are planned at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., and the Mooney Caravan is
expected to arrive at 4 p.m. Weather and other factors can change these times
and the normal Ripon-Fisk VFR arrival will be in effect when the group arrivals
are not in progress.
