I sprayed a base coat of grey primer, then "fleck" , or as some
call it, "trunk" paint followed by a clear coat. The fleck paint
was grey, white, and black specks. All products
bought at Wal-Mart. Several colors available.

Read and follow directions on can. Don't ask me how I know.
You must use the undercoat. The fleck paint is not a finish /
cover paint but an accent finish.

Lay down a base coat of choice. Follow with the "fleck" coat
holding the can back at least 16 inches and just start with
a light dusting and continue until you get the desired look.
Follow with the clear coat that is sold next to the "fleck" paint.
You can actually cover KR cloth without doing any fill or sanding
if it's a nice smooth layup.
