The incident last month here in Starkville tells me I do not need one. The 
glider that came apart accidently fired the BRS at 171 mph and the sudden 
stop ejected the pilot out of the craft still in his bucket seat. He went 
through the canopy. Luckily he was wearing a chute (for the 1st time) and 
after falling 8 thousand feet he was able to deploy the chute. It was 
tangled with debree from the canopy. Opened at 500' above the ground.
