When my prop came off at 3000 RPM on the ground, it went through the prop and both the spinner and the prop was destroyed. Some 15 or 18 years ago our KR2 agent (Sakkie) was killed when the spinner came off during a test flight. It broke the prop and then the engine mountings went, the engine came off and the plane went down, tail first, like a spinning sycamore seed. I still have pictures off the wreck to remind me to be careful.
