I hope you take no offence to my suggestions or comments. I mean to
judgment.

I find that many times when I get stuck on something that I simply need to
step away for a little bit or get another set of eyes on it. I then commonly
find some minor thing I over looked.

In case like this I may find a solder joint that is cold or a solder pad
that has lifted from the circuit board or even a zener diode that I
inadvertently installed backwards.

Let me know what you find.
