This is from Austin Meyer, the developer and sole owner of X-Plane. He
lives here in Columbia, SC in a small two story condo. When I first met him
he had a GlassAir project in his living room, which he eventually sold. He
said that he wanted to get a Lancair Columbia, that was, at that time, going
through the certification process. He lost patience and ended up getting a
Cirrus. Well, he has sold the Cirrus and just got his brand new Lancair
Columbia. These links tell his story about the change over trip from the
Cirrus to the Columbia and it is very interesting. There are amazing
pictures of flying over the Rocky Mountains.

Remember, this all started because Lance Niebauer found the KR2 a little too
small for him, his wife, and soon to be newborn.
