Pete Diffey is handling all of the registration for the forum. In the beginning he had it set up similar to the email list where there is a confirmation that must be replied to, but sometimes that didn't work because your ISP would snag the confirmation as spam, and in other cases spammers would register and post messages with viagra and sex topics with rogue website URLs included. To end that, he's gone to a system of manual activation. To make it easier to sift out the good guys from the bad guys , it would be handy if you put something in your profile like KR2, VW, RAF48, or something somewhere related to what you were building or thinking about building.
