Don't count on using the intercom. It is a real goofy arrangement that
needs a separate PTT switch for the intercom. What they were thinking when
they put in the "feature" is beyond me. It is a good reliable radio, but
personally I would go with an Xcom which has a good two place VOX intercom
and music input. We put them in our club gliders and tow plane and they are
great. We do have the remote second heads in the back seats in the gliders
and they are noting but trouble with the second head, but in single head
application they are good.

Anybody heard anything good or bad about the ICOM A-200?

Mark, Brian Kraut installs that model in boats all the time, with their
frequency set in it, and he repaired mine that I sent him to test and
installed it later in his Clipper I think that he sold to another guy. It is
a good radio. It also comes with its own built in intercom, though I did not
set mine up that way.
