The turtle deck is easy to form, and more square is definitely better than the "rounded" KR shape. If you were building the KR2 as a 1 place, then rounded is fine, but the rounded turtle deck and canopy, will not accommodate your head and headset without your bending your neck toward the center, unless you are very short.
