While Lowrance still shows their Aviation GPS units available on their web pages, it has been rumored for a while that they were no longer available. you'll find them "out of stock" with the vendors that list them. A friend sent his 2000C in to Lowrance for repair after they gave him a $200 flat rate quote for repair / exchange and had it returned unopened with a note saying that the units are no longer available and will no longer be supported. A call to Lowrance confirmed that they are de-supporting their aviation GPS units and are getting out of the Aviation GPS business. I assume the Jepp Databases will still be available through LEI Extras for a while, but the handwriting is on the wall for those of us that own the Lowrance GPS units. It's going to be time to cough up the premium dollars and buy the industry standard Garmin units.
