I'd ask that question on the CorvAircraft list, where a bunch of folks with 
Corvairs have already done that (mostly on Zenith 601's).  And of course, 
William Wynne sells an intake that most folks use for that purpose.  As WW 
likes to say "copying something that already works is a good way to minimize 
time and effort  while improving safety.  The close proximity of the 
flywheel on the rear of the engine to the firewall doesn't leave much rooom 
for a carb of any size to squeeze in there, which I'm sure is why you ask.
