I checked your website and was happy to see your impression of Mr.
Hightower. I also see no need for Sport Aviation to cover more factory
built planes. They are well covered by other magazines. We need more
information on building techniques and reviews of homebuilts. It is hard
enough to figure out what plane to build as it is. You either have to
rely on word of mouth or the kit makers hype. I joined EAA to learn
about building and maintaining my own aircraft not to learn about the
latest light sport model or reviews of the latest most expensive glass
panel display. We sort of have the same problem in our chapter. Our
president has never built a plane so his experience is flying factory
built airplanes. How many planes has Mr. Hightower built? If he doesn't
have much experience there then at least he is doing the right thing by
canvassing the chapters for input.
