Good day and salutations to all the members of KRnet and corvaircraft. It would appear that I too have been bitten by the bug to build and operate my own aircraft, mind you it took long enough. For over 25 years now I have been keeping the CF's 'fly boys' up in the air, having maintained aircraft such as the Canadair Tutor, Lockheed T-33 and C-130 and the McDonald-Douglas F-18. Combine that with years of building wooden RC aircraft in my youth, a love for woodworking as well as machine work, and I think I can risk 'assuming' that I have some of the skills necessary to undertake this venture. I do plan on forsaking my love for the VW's engines, however, as I intend on utilizing the proven Corvair 2700cc powerplant installation (haven't heard of anyone doing a Porsche 911 conversion). I look forward to chatting and picking the brains of other builders and hope as well to make acquaintances with any folks around my area.
