I just swapped out my nylon brake lines with steel automotive brake lines. I
till need to use some nylon line to allow for the movement of the peddles.
hat fittings has everyone used to transition from the automotive lines to the
ylon lines? I couldn't find it in the archive.
Thanks,
Derek Lewis

Derek,
I am in no way one of the experts here (still building) but I used a standard
coupling for the size line.
On the steel line I used a compression ring that comes with the coupling. Now
when you work on the nylon tube be sure to use the compression ring and the
insert. If you forget the insert that goes inside the tube it will leak.
My father has been flying His Mustang II with that set up for years with no
leaks. ALTHOUGH he had a coupling on the line going down the landing gear
which was exposed to the air that fluttered, broke loose and landed somewhere
in Lake Harding. Although he heard something He didn't know it until he turned
off the runway upon landing. It made for an exciting ground loop.
