I took a 4130 welding class given by Wyatt Swaim, "Mr. TIG".  He pioneered 
the welding of 4130 aircraft tubing back in the early Skunkworks days, and 
even helped write the specs.  One of the things he taught us in the class is 
that there's no need to normalize thin wall 4130 tubing, or any 4130 that's 
less than 1/8" thick or so, after weldiing.  He's done a lot of coupon
