Craig, Just a suggetion but the Dynon really gives you everthing you would need for VFR + with the attitude indicator. Keep it simple. For backup, you can use a GPS for altitude, direction and ground speed.
Now that I have a D6 in my KR2S, and if I had to do it all over, I would just have use only a D6 in the 1st place. Room it pretty scarce in a KR panel. I also love the attitude indicator. Never knew this untill I started flying as much as I do now and get close to a cloud every now and then.
