A lot of KRs flew with the smaller VW engines, and did so very well.
Then came along starters, batteries, bigger tires, a nose gear, more 
instruments and extra layers of cloth.

I was told the 1835 is a good engine for the KR2. It is 65 horses and
reliable.Thats the one I have. I may build it up, but that is a long way
off. The database shows a reasonable number of folks with this engine.
