Victor,
I highly reccommend using steel angle instead of the aluminum which is
called for in the manual. The reason is that the aluminum bracket can and
will fail causing you to loose your counterbalance weight. This exact this
happened to Jim Faughn at the Gathering in Red Oak, IA. As far as the
weight, it is best to make one out of lead. The amount of lead needed
depends on how much it takes to counterbalance your aileron. You can shape
it any way you want. Use your imagination. Mine is basically rectangle and I
did a fairing on the wing in front of it for the airflow.

Subject: KR> Aileron Counter Wt Bracket ?

Hello Guys and Glenda,

I can't find the aileron counter weight bracket drawings anywhere. It looks
pretty simple. Can someone tell me what it is made out of and a size?

Thanks,

Victor, headed to the airport to work on the KR... with my iphone to check
my
email.
