As I have some major rework to do on the fin and sternpost, I was wondering about dividing the elevator into two halves and using, say, two L shaped metal pieces bridging the now divided spar so they form a box around the spar and bolted with two bolts (3/8?) o9n each side. This would make it easy to remove for maintenance / painting ......
