Maybe I'm just thick headed (and I am) but if the facet pumps have a check valve built in how is the fuel getting to the other tank. My system just has two transfer pumps and 2 main pumps to the EFS-3. All this talk about connecting vents seems like it's just complicating a system that does not have to be complicated. I like the idea of copying the Ercoupe or even the Piper systems so as to not re-invent the wheel to much. I suppose most of us will have to install what makes sense and tweck it if need be.
