Done.  I strongly suggest that we all pitch in with our comments.  Unless we
get involved, as a group, we will never effect change.

The period for commenting on self certification for sport aviaition vs a third
class medical is currently open. I would encourage all of the US pilots on this
forum to please go comment on line at
 <http://www.regulations.gov/#!searchResults;rpp=25;po=0;s=FAA-2012-0350>

 This is the petition from the EAA/AOPA to allow a US drivers license, an
on-line training course, and self certification in place of the third class
medical for aircraft up to 180 HP carrying only one passenger. Obviously, the
pilots of all of the KR aircraft could fall under this change in regulation
should the petition be accepted.

 The FAA now has a petition in hand from AOPA and EAA to increase the scope of
driver's license in place of medical certificates to a flat 180 HP and fixed
gear.
