I would suggest brackets like the ones in the photo at http://myplace.frontier.com/~flesner/fittings.jpg One bolt through the top spar cap and one bolt through the bottom spar cap ( center of cap ) and use a large washer or plate on the back side. That should give you 100 % of the strength of the spar caps in case of a crash. Place one bracket close to each cockpit side wall and two in the center allowing room for the cables. These brackets extend the belt attach point 4 or 5 inches forward of the spar to give them a better angle over the lap. It causes the belts to pull more down and back instead of mostly just back. I'd also suggest they be steel, not aluminum. Making one angle off the base a 90 degree angle puts the belt attach points at about the same height as the top of the rear spar. In my case that makes the belts "just long enough" with very little extra length. As always, your results may vary. :-) Larry Flesner
