Greg,
You need to calibrate your nose: find a part that you know is made with
epoxy and another part you know is made with vinyl ester. Make a very
slight scratch on the edge of each part. put your nose right down on the
scratch and sniff. The epoxy will have a faint flower smell. The vinyl
ester will smell faintly like ammonia mixed with MEK.

vinyl ester??

I need to find out what product was used on a project recently purchased.
Is there a telltale test to determine vinyl ester vs epoxy

Thanks ahead
