Sorry to dispute that. The first Gathering at MVN had a record planes, around 20 I think, and about 100 attendees.
Yes, the weather at the Gathering was perfect, but that did not get the planes there. I know of at least 3, mine included, that were weathered out. I know that my suggestion is sanctimony, but I really don't care, because I don't want to risk my life to bring my KR to the Gathering. Look how the weather patterns run and basically block out the Southeast. Once that system is there, you are not going anywhere. When you continue to have 10 KRs show up at a Gathering, especially one as important at the 40th anniversary, eventually, you would think that people would realize that something ain't right. And what that is, is that the creek ( whatever it is ) is rising. Change something, or expect to get the same results, 10 KRs ( 2 trailered in ), at the Gathering. Pathetic.
