Thanks, Jeff. I got it half right. Saw this on the web. I'm guessing the sheriff and the reporter have not seen many airplanes. Larry Flesner Carroll, Iowa -- A plane traveling from Sioux City to Pella made an emergency landing in a Carroll County field Friday afternoon after experiencing troubles with one of the engines. The plane landed safely in a field near 200th Street and Hawthorne Avenue around 3:30. A call came out that the plane was having troubles with an engine and tried to enrich the fuel but that didn't help. A cylinder in the engine lite up and the plane was forced to make an emergency landing. The Carroll County Sheriff's Office began searching for the plane which was found safely in the field. Carroll County Sheriff Doug Bass says the plane landed on all four wheels and both the pilot and passenger were unharmed. The plane will need to have work done on the engine before it will be operable again.
