WxBY,

Bamboo was used in the construction of the Curtiss Pusher built by Bob(?)
Coolbaugh for the 2011 celebration of 100 yrs of Naval Aviation. The
"certified" bamboo for the project was purchased from the same business (in New
York or Conneticut?) that Glen Curtiss bought his supplies from over 100 yrs
ago. "Certified" bamboo is wrapped with twine between each of the growth nodes
to prevent the bamboo from splitting with flexing.

Unfortunately, my computer crashed recently and I don't have all my files and
favorites reloaded yet. Try to find the EAA article detailing the build, it has
the name of the supplier.
