Free fuel at Oshkosh is a myth. Basler is the fuel provider, it typically costs
more to fuel at Oshkosh than at any surrounding airport. No, the EAA does not
control Basler, they are the FBO provider for the airport.

Yes, the warbirds have their own sub-membership club to EAA. Yes, they are very
popular during the show. No, they don't any special treatment.

Years and years ago EAA started paying more attention to the old military stuff
than they did to the experimental stuff, bunch of us left at that time. It took
them about five years before they learn their mistake. They slowly went back to
some experimental but they really spend more time on the old military stuff.
They fuel those airplanes when they show up at Oshkosh how much free fuel do
you get?
