I find this rather fascinating after looking into all the Zenith accidents not 
too long ago.

Brackets for my aileron balance weights, are  1/8th inch thick 4130 steel.  At 
the first KR Gathering, held in CA, Brad Hummel had an aileron fail, resulting 
in a wing failure. FAA Inspectors determined the aircraft was doing 
approximately 240 MPH. ( Airspeed needle was stuck there.)  The Main Spar, 
ripped out of the fuselage, about 6 inches inside of the vertical side of the 
fuselage. Yes, sadly he exceeded the redline of 200 MPH.
