The scrap gold was from old rings, necklaces, etc. The KR gold wings were
beautiful and my intention was to wear them at the gatherings and air
shows. However, I felt rather odd when I wore them. Maybe because I felt it
was a bit too elaborate since I do not wear jewelry.. Anyway, they had been
sitting in the jewelry box for a while and not being used. Our 20th wedding
anniversary came along and I decided to make my wife make a custom ring so
I donated the KR gold wings to make her a custom 20th anniversary present.
