I visited his hangar/shop and remember that canopy. The extended strake at the 'foot' of the vertical stabilizer also looks familiar. Mike had a lot of good ideas and useful innovations. When I told him I had never worked with fiberglass, he said "well then, let's get you started". He cut some fiberglass fabric, grabbed a scrap of Last-a-foam, mixed up some epoxy, and within just a few minutes he had made a little layup so I could see how it's done.
