Howdy, Netters;

Some weeks ago I was contacted by a woman in Hamptonville, NC about getting
some experimental aircraft plans for her 91 year old dad who has reportedly
built several experimentals over the years but was aged to the point where his
enjoyment was down to just poring over building plans and figuring out how he
would go about building what the plans showed. The man was still of sound mind
but unexpectedly passed away a week or two ago and the woman is asking about
help clearing out the airplane stuff her dad has accumulated over the years
because nobody wants that stuff to just go into a dumpster so I said I'd post
some basic information in case anyone here has an interest.

The location is north of Charlotte, west of Greensboro and Winston-Salem, near
the I-77/US 421 intersection. Nearest airports are Elkin Municipal (ZEF) to
the north and Statesville (SVH) to the south. My sense of what he's got is
more in the way of plans, tools, and materials than any projects or
subassemblies. I'm just throwing out a general query in case anyone is
interested in digging deeper, otherwise I might try finding out if there are
EAA chapters in Charlotte, Greensboro, or Winston-Salem who might want to help
the woman.

Thanks.
