Dear Marco,

I don't have a means of doing what you want to do, however, a different solution that may be to the whole issue you're dealing with.

                    • Allow Shotwell to create it's day/month/year dirs.
• Create the tree you want and put links into that tree to the photo files in the Shotwell tree.

This will eliminate any conflicts between the way Shotwell transfers photos to your system and the way you want to organize your photos.

BTW. As an added bonus yo get the best of both worlds.
