Glenn, David, could we integrate this functionality, please? IMO it is
very desirable to have an editor mode which closely replicate
bash/readline emacs editor behaviour, including CTRL-V for character
quoting and only allow to enter a TAB using quoting - the triple
functionality behind TAB input is *VERY* confusing.
This may be a good thing to aid the migration of bash users back to ksh.
