------- Comment #13 from roland.mainz at nrubsig.org 2008-07-23 06:12 PDT ------- (In reply to comment #12) > Linux distros now use their own firefox script. Could you point me to one, please ? I did check some of the packages and didn't find one which either replaces or patches the upstream one. > I'm not sure how much it worth for upstream. Since the upstream script is "supposed" to work with both Bourne shell and POSIX shells it should be a bug filed at upstream (as said Linux only does not suffer from this problem only because /bin/ and /usr/bin/ are seperate directories). > Perhaps we can just make /usr/bin/firefox as a symbolic link to > /usr/lib/firefox/firefox not ../lib/firefox/firefox . > > I think there's nothing we can do from ksh93 side, right? Erm... no since the matching behaviour is POSIX-conformant behvaiour. Changing this would blow-up lots of other stuff and ksh93-integration has "delivering a POSIX conformant shell" somewhere written down in stone as project goal. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.grommit.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
