The archives are not readily searchable.  Besides, from the perspective
of someone who tries to write portable shell scripts, and is not a full-time
Solaris hack, this thing deserves continual rat-holing until it gets fixed.  :)
It may be tiresome to you-all, but I get complaints about my stuff breaking
on Solaris again because I used a POSIX-ism.  That is tiresome to me.
