Josh> Where did you stored the patch? In the sendmail CVS at Sun?

JBeck> No, in my home directory at Sun. But there was no rocket science
JBeck> involved: anyone with access to the usr/src/cmd/sendmail/ sub-directory
JBeck> of Sun's SCCS tree could have easily generated a new one against the
JBeck> distribution from sendmail.org .

FYI for everyone, Josh and I had a follow-up conversation, which he requested
that I post back to the list, so here you go. :-)

Josh> Would you think that it is useful to add such a patch to the source
Josh> tree?

JBeck> It might have been useful back in the day when that patch was large
JBeck> (almost 3000 lines of `diff -u` output), but it is now small (172
JBeck> lines), and once sendmail 8.14 is released and I put it back (both
JBeck> of which are imminent), the patch will shrink to zero.
